CANCER SUPPORT

Write From the Heart collaborates with Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health's Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, the Mcglinn Cancer Institute/Reading Hospital, Breast Cancer Support Services/Berks County, and CARE (Cancer Assistance and Resource Educational center) at The Penn State Cancer Institute/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania. She taught the Penn State Cancer Institute clinical study, The Effect of Creative Writing In the Mood of Patients with Cancer, the results of which were published in the British Medical Journal of Support and Palliative Care.

Write From the Heart doesn't just teach writing, it opens us to feeling present and alive. Thoughtful, relaxing workshops awaken the creative spirit, gently, without intimidation. They are a safe haven for experienced and first-timers alike, especially those who have always longed to write but thought they couldn't. No grades, grammar, or red pen. Sharing optional. A writing class to illuminate laughter, courage, and hope.
